The lifeless body of an unidentified man was pulled from a trench along Church Street, Georgetown, yesterday afternoon.
Reports indicate that a group of children who were playing in the area at the time noticed the body floating and alerted adults in the area.
A source told INews that the man is suspected to be a vagrant who would normally visit the location to pick tamarinds.
The body is currently at the Lyken Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination and identification. No marks of violence were reportedly found on the man’s body.
