[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of 58-year-old Nicholas Jacobus, whose body was recovered from the Pomeroon River on Sunday.
Police say that the body of Jacobus, of Kabakaburi, Pomeroon River was pulled from the river at approximately 9:45 hrs.
Investigations have revealed that Jacobus had left a shop in the Pomeroon River for his home in a paddle boat during Friday.
The boat alone was seen in the river the following day with the front damaged.
Jacobus’ body was found yesterday after a search had been launched and the body is at the Suddie Hospital Mortuary awaiting a PME
