The body of a man was today fished out of a canal at Croal and Wellington Streets, Georgetown.
INews understands that the discovery was made by passersby who contacted the police.
Authorities have since removed the body. Efforts are being made to determine the man’s identity. Eyewitnesses say that the body was not in a decomposed state and that the man was fully clothed.
An investigation is ongoing.
