[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – three – year – old Oslin Robinson, a mason of East La Penitence, Georgetown was on Friday (February 7) charged with larceny and placed $100,000 bail, by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on January 30 at Robb Street, Georgetown, he stole from Denise Jackman one Blackberry cellular phone valued $100,000.
Police Prosecutor Michael Grant told the Court that the virtual complainant and the defendant are living in the same area. He said Jackman was walking in the vicinity of Guyana Post Office Cooperation, when Robinson, who was in a car, snatched her phone and made good his escape.
The prosecutor did not object to bail. Robinson will return to Court on March 7.
