[www.inewsguyana.com] – Guyanese Leg Spinner, Devendra Bishoo has been named in the West Indies ‘A’ squad that will tour Sri Lanka next month.
Batsman, Kirk Edwards and left-arm spinner Nikita Miller, who were dropped from West Indies’ ODI squad that will play in India in October, also featured.
Bishoo, 28, last played in the A team in June 2012. He had played 11 Tests and 13 ODIs in 2011 and 2012 – including debuting in one-day internationals during the 2011 World Cup – but then his form fell away.
In Guyana’s final first-class game last season, in April, he took 15 wickets against Trinidad & Tobago and was subsequently picked in the Sagicor side that played the visiting Bangladesh A.
West Indies ‘A’ team will play three unofficial Tests in Sri Lanka, between October 11 and 28, and three one-dayers between November 1 and 5.
