Fifty – one – year old Terachand Harripersaud was shot to his right hand last night, August 2 during a confrontation with three men at his residence.
According to the police, the incident occurred at around 20:45h at Clifton Settlement, Corentyne, when Harripersaud was confronted by three men in his yard.
Police stated that one of the men, who was armed with a firearm discharged a round that struck Harripersaud to his right hand, after which they escaped.
Terachand Harripersaud has been admitted to the New Amsterdam Hospital. Investigations are in progress.
