According to reports, 58 – year – old Harris was a cattle farmer of Gateroy, Berbice River, who lived with his son. iNews understands that he would usually misbehave whenever he was under the influence of alcohol.
On the day in question, it is alleged that Harris arrived home drunk and began to berate a carpenter who was renovating his home.
A fight then ensued, during which Harris was allegedly chopped to the right arm. He collapsed and was transported by his son via boat to the New Amsterdam Hospital, where he died before receiving medical attention.
