[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at about 09:30 hrs today (Thursday June 26), at Enterprise, East Coast Demerara where 48 – year – old Mohendra Persaud, a driver/salesman employed with Edward Beharry Company Limited, was attacked and robbed by a man armed with a handgun.
Investigations revealed that the victim was making a delivery when he was held at gun point by the perpetrator who took away a sum of cash and escaped on a bicycle.
During the robbery Persaud was shot and injured. He has been admitted to hospital.
