After over 40 years of being in business, Beepats and Sons Mega Store on Regent Street, Georgetown was earlier today re-launched as a modernized facility.
The company’s Chief Executive Officers (CEO’s), Jonathan Beepat and Christopher Beepat, of the family oriented store explained that it now offers a more convenient shopping area for commuters, with its extension and implementation of air conditioning.
Jonathan Beepat stated that aisles have been constructed in the store which caters for everyday food related brands, like Nestle, Connor Brothers LTD, Ozone, and many others.
Beepats is one of the leading distributors in the country that supplies products which can be found in the smallest corner shops in the rural areas as well as in large scale supermarkets in urban areas.
The business was founded by Madho Beepat who started out from humble beginnings as a one-man operation in the La Penitence Market in November 1953.
Beepat’s business soon out grew the stall in the market and he moved to rented premises at 95 Regent Street, Georgetown where he later purchased the said property.
