[www.inewsguyana.com] – The golf rivalry will continue this weekend thanks to Beacon Ministries who has committed to sponsoring the greens.
According to a release from the Lusignan Golf Club, the organization has opted to sponsor this weekend’s tournament under the medal play format.
The tournament will have three flights, the Men’s Handicap in the 0-9, 10-18, 19-28 while the female golfers will play in an open flight.
There are also three prizes for the overall best net players which nearest to the pin, long drive and shot of the day with defending champion Alfred Mentore in good form currently are eager to defend his title.
Head of the local Beacon Ministries, Arch Bishop Dr Philbert London said his Ministries is very pleased to be a part of golf in Guyana.
“If you watch a game it’s fun if you play it it’s recreation but if you work at it it’s golf”, said the Arch Bishop.
Club captain Chatterpaul Deo has expressed pleasure with number of players to set to play this tournament with tee time set for 12:00.
