[www.inewsguyana.com] – In keeping with the mandate of the Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC), the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) will this coming Saturday hold their Annual general meeting and elections.
According to information received by iNews, the Association is attempting to satisfy the mandate from the governing Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC), which stipulates that all National Federations and Associations must hold their AGM and election of office bearers between November 1 and January 15, 2014.
The meeting is set for a 15 hours start, has no venue confirmed as yet but persons are asked to keep in contact with the association.
The election must be completed before the CBC holds its annual general assembly congress on January 18, 2014.
According to the GABF, affiliates from Georgetown, Linden and Berbice Amateur Basketball Associations, Guyana Basketball Officials Council, and the Guyana Women’s Basketball Association will be participating.
The agenda includes the confirmation of the minutes from the previous General Secretary and Treasurer’s reports and election of office bearers.
