[www.inewsguyana.com] – Beverage giant, Banks DIH has given back to the community of Linden following a donation of electric lamps to assist sport in the town.
The company handed over complete sets of electric lamps to the Facility on Thursday, May 01.
According to Communications officer of the beverage company, the gesture comes following a request during last year’s GT Beer Football tournament.
“Banks DIH has fulfilled its promise as we continue to foster a closer relationship with the executive and members of the Mackenzie Sports Club and the people of Linden,” Peters said.
In collecting the equipment, Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) President Avery Trim expressed his gratitude to the Company which has always shown its support for the sport in the Mining town.
“This will go a far way to enhance the lighting at the MSC and all sports disciplines and the Linden community will benefit tremendously from the floodlights,” he added.
Some of the sports set to benefit from the gesture include Basketball and Fustal, which use the facility quite frequently.
