[www.inewsguyana.com] – Following a meeting with officials from Bai Shan Lin International Forest Development Inc. and representatives of the newly formed Linden Kwakwani Road Users Association (LKRUA) on Thursday, September 04, the company has committed to rehabilitation programme of the mining town’s roadways soon.
According to a press release from the Company, its General Manager, Yu Mingxin said the Company stands ready to assist the LKRUA in its efforts to improve the state of the roadway.
Mingxin was briefed by LKRUA Secretary, Patricia Boyle on some of the requirements for the road works, specifically as it relates to equipment.
Bai Shan Lin said it is currently in the process of examining Boyle’s request and is expected to assist with the rehabilitation efforts, as the company is doing now in Kwakwani.
According to the press release, the discussion also focused on the possibility of a new arrangement between the company and the group regarding the purchase of logs.
Bai Shan Lin says it “remains committed to the road rehabilitation efforts and will continue to support such initiatives throughout the communities in which it operates.”
