[www.inewsguyana.com] – A baby girl and her father are now among four accident victims being treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital after they were involved in an accident on Sunday afternoon.
Reports reaching iNews indicated that the three persons were travelling in a car along Alexander Street when they collided with another car (with a driver alone) at the corner junction of David and Alexander Streets Kitty.
Eyewitnesses at the scene told iNews that a discussion was mounted about the speed of one of the vehicles just moments before it collided with the other vehicle.
iNews understands that the baby has suffered a broken arm and some skin abrasions and is listed as stable. The father of the child reportedly suffered several injuries to his body.
A female occupant the vehicle carrying the baby was flung out of the vehicle on impact and was taken to the hospital along with the driver of the other vehicle.
iNews also understands that the car with the baby turned turtle two times before coming to a halt on David Street.
The mother of the baby, Svetlana Marshall was at the hospital but was unable to give a comment.
