The Coffee Bean cafe located on Church Street, Georgetown was earlier on Tuesday robbed by armed bandits who fled the scene with an undisclosed sum of cash from customers as well as the business.
Based on information received, two armed men reportedly entered the building after trailing two businessmen who had just left a city bank and went into the cafe.
After pouncing on the two men, the bandits reportedly assaulted other customers and staff of the facility.
Inews understands that that the victims complied with the requests of the perpetrators to lie on the floor and turn over all of their valuables.
The ordeal lasted approximately 5 minutes after which the armed men fled the scene in a waiting car.
This publication understands that the officers are reviewing surveillance footage from the business to determine the identity of the duo since they were reportedly unmasked throughout the ordeal.
