Police are now hunting for at least six persons who assaulted and robbed employees and a customer of the Rich Thriving Auto Repair and Servicing company, located at Industrial Site Ruimveldt.
Inews was on the scene moments after the robbery occurred at around 14:45hrs on Wednesday. A worker attached to the company related that the armed men were all clad in black hoodies and exited from two motor cars- a Toyota Allion and Premio.
The worker said that the bandits immediately rushed into the auto repair shop, where at least nine employees were on duty with one customer who had arrived at the business premises minutes before the gunmen.
The attackers reportedly began to hit some of the staff and the customer over the head with their guns and demanded that they turn over all their valuables.
The perpetrators managed to escape the scene after relieving the business of two licenced firearms, a quantity of cash and several mobile phones.
An employee and the customer, who were both Chinese, were seen with blood gushing from their heads.
Police are presently on the scene conducting investigations.
