[www.inewsguyana.com] – An argument last evening [Monday, September 1] between a Canadian based woman and her Guyanese ‘child father’ over a name change for their daughter turned bloody, when the man was stabbed.
iNews was reliably informed that the incident occurred in Campbellville, Georgetown just after 22.30 hours.
Information reaching iNews stated that the man was not in agreement with the mother of his child changing the child’s name; this led to a heated argument which resulted in the woman making a telephone call.
Shortly after the telephone call, two men arrived in a White Car and a fight broke out between one of the men and the child’s father.
The child’s father was stabbed with a sharp object and as the fight continued, one of the occupants of the car discharged a round at the woman’s child father; however, he escaped being shot.
According to reports, the woman and her two associates then left the scene, while the child’s father was rushed to the hospital. He was treated and sent away. A police investigation is underway.
