[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) Youth Leader Christopher Jones on Tuesday evening reminded residents of South Ruimveldt of the wanton abuse of state funds by the current Peoples Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) administration over the past years.
Jones was at the time delivering the feature address at an APNU/AFC public meeting at ‘Last Entrance’ South Ruimveldt Park where he wasted no time in criticizing Amerindian Affairs Minister Pauline Sukhai for a recent dental bill that cost $2.1M.
Sukhai and other officials have been publicly condemned over the last weeks after the information became public knowledge; however Jones took the condemnation to new heights when he said the Amerindian Affairs Minister has effectively bought an Allion for her mouth.
He said that the $2.1M could have been used by a normal person to buy a car or take care of other expenses, but instead the lump sum was used to fix the Minister’s teeth.
“Pauline Sukhai went to the treasury and took $2.1M of your taxpayer’s dollars to fix she teeth….Pauline Sukhai got an Allion in she mouth. A whole Allion car” said the Youth Leader.
Jones said too that while Sukhai may have a “million dollar smile…there is nothing in this country under this government to smile for.”
He told residents that there was perception and then there is reality explaining that the PPP/C would like to push its perception that the country is generally happy when this was not the case.
Jones said that if the government cannot cater for the thousands of youths who are University graduates and those with CXC subjects, how will it be possible for them to accommodate those who do not have any requisite academic qualification.
“If an administration doesn’t even cater for them – those who graduate from UG and those that have CXC – what about those who haven’t any?” he questioned.
they are paying already. they going mad… lol
Pppc must go. It is time and the time for them to go is now.
they must be made to repay all that money and be removed from office now.
