[www.inewsguyana.com] – Ansa McAl is the new corporate sports champions by winning the annual Corporate Games on Sunday at the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) Ground.
The beverage company accumulated 40 points to win the overall title while Wartsila took second with 33 points. Noble House Seafoods was third with 32 points as Global Technology and Qualfon tied for fourth on 30 points. Digicel finished fifth with 20 points.
Christopher Hideakhan, a former national sprinter showed he still had some speed left in his legs by winning the 400 metres for Ansa McAl.
However, Ansa McAl jumped clearly ahead to win the event when their football team defeated Qualfon 3-1 in the final.
Six companies participated at the event which was made up of six different sporting disciplines; the beverage company will now have a lot of bragging rights.
