[www.inewsguyana.com] – Another man has been charged and remanded to prison by City Magistrate Ann McLennan for the UG road robbery/murder of Mahaica rice farmer.
Second to be charged with the unlawful killing of Hardat Kissoon is 32-year-old labourer Kurt Clark of Charlestown, Georgetown. The accused was not required to plead to the indictable charge which alleged that on June 01 at University of Guyana Public Road, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown; he murdered 42-year-old Kissoon of Cane Grove, Mahaica in the furtherance of a robbery.
The matter was transferred to Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court on August 06. Recently charged with the said murder was an excavator operator, Sherwin Trotman of Lot 45 Section D, South Turkeyen.
Kissoon, a father of three, was fatally shot during a minibus robbery at Turkeyen, after he was trailed from a city bank where he had cashed a cheque for $500,000.
Trotman, the first man to be charged, made his appearance before Magistrate McLennan on July 01 last and was remanded to prison.
