[www.inewsguyana.com] – American Stories Ltd is gearing for a grand opening in Guyana this month end, and is hoping to hype the competition with its prices.
The Trinidad home furnishing business is slated to have a grand three day opening commencing on November 29 to December 1.
At a press conference held at the Pegasus hotel on Thursday November 14, Company officials revealed that the main stores will be located at Regent and Cummings Streets and at Durban Street.
Regional New Business Developer of the Company, Jared Hamilton revealed plans to open American Stores branches in Parika, East Bank Essequibo, Bartica, Linden and Berbice.
These branches he said will be in place by the first half of 2014. Guyana is the first country in which the Trinidad Company has sought to expand its wings. The directors will also be employing local personnel and thus far, over 300 applications were received. Meanwhile, when asked, the Company’s Consultant Pauline Hamilton did not want to reveal the total amount of investment that American Stores Ltd is making in Guyana.
She however explained that a final figure cannot be given, since the Company is still to finalise the amount of branches they intend to establish in Guyana.
American Stores Ltd is a family owned home furnishing business, which has been serving Trinidad and Tobago since 1950. At present, there are 13 branches in Trinidad and Tobago.
At the grand opening on November 29, entertainment will be provided by Ravi B, Nisha B and Karma – all of Trinidad and Tobago – while Guyana’s dynamic duo – Adrian Dutchin and Jumo will also perform.
There will also be a number of prizes up for grabs.
