[www.inewsguyana.com] – Alpha ‘The Hammer’ United is gearing up for their first clash in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) club Championships on April 15.
At a press conference on Thursday, Coach of the team, Wayne Dover noted that “preparation has gone well.”
Further, Dover noted that the team is going through an “assessment stage” during the ongoing Kashif and Shanghai tournament.
Meanwhile, President of the club, Odinga Lumumba noted that Guyana will host games against Suriname (April 15) and Trinidad that will cost a total of $10 million.
He further highlighted that the CFU will be assisting with US$15,000, hence another $7 million will be needed to host the event successfully.
Lumumba pointed out that he has reached out to both Government and the Private Sector for assistance but will do his best in an effort to host the teams without any glitches.
