[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – Two – year old Howard Rambarose of Second Street, Meadow Bank, East Bank Demarara was remanded to prison after he was charged with two counts of robbery under arms.
Rambarose was not required to plead to the charges, one of which alleged that on June 30 at Medicare Pharmacy at Sandy Babb Street, Kitty Georgetown, being armed with a gun, he robbed Nalinie Kawall of cash $833,000 and other articles together valued $955,000.
The other charge stated that on July 14 at Ramchand Auto Sales, Sherriff Street, Georgetown, he robbed Leroy Hinds of $1.7M.
Rambarose is said to be the accomplice of 21 – year – old Kevin Fields, who was shot dead by the businessman on July 14 following the said robbery.
He was represented by Attorney – at – Law, Mark Conway, who told the Court that his client was in the Interior when the Identification Parade was held in Georgetown.
Police Prosecutor, Michael Grant informed the Court that Rambarose is wanted in connection with other robberies. Bail was refused and the matter will recall before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on September 22.
