[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Digicel School Table Tennis tournament will serve off on Friday, November 07 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH).
The event which seemed as though it might have clashed with the ongoing Stag Beer Futsal tournament will not clash according to Technical Director of the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), Linden Johnson.
However, the GTTA will be aiming to promote camaraderie among students, a healthy lifestyle as well as talent spotting for Guyana’s next wave of table tennis stars.
The GTTA also hopes to replicate 2013’s tournament that drew 150 students to play the game.
Five categories will be contested at the tournament, namely; under-11, 13, 15, 18 and novice as some of the top mini-cadets, cadets and juniors are expected to be a part of the tournament.
The tournament will conclude on November 9.
