[www.inewsguyana.com] – Damion James, who pleaded not guilty to the offenses of damage to property and simple larceny, was refused bail by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
It is alleged that on January 28 at Lot 184 James Street, Albouystown, Georgetown, he damaged one car window valued $25,000, property of Wavel Naughton.
Particulars of the other offence stated that on January 3 at Lot 180 Garnett Street, Albouystown, he stole one car battery valued $25,000, property of Damion Naughton.
However, the accused told the Court that he does not steal car parts, but that he “shop lifts.”
The matter was transferred before Magistrate Geeta Chandan-Edmond for report and fixtures on February 6.
