Persons desirous of visiting the Kaieteur Falls will be afforded the opportunity of doing so at a reduced price of US$130 as part of the country’s 50th Independence anniversary celebrations this year.
Air Services Limited today, made this announcement as it introduced its Golden Arrowhead themed helicopter. The company announced that it will also provide aerial tours of Georgetown at a reasonable cost.
This airline which is one of the oldest in Guyana and is the largest with a fleet of 25 aircraft and three helicopters has been in the aviation industry for over half of a century (50 years). It presently has over 300 staffers.
General Manager of Air Services Limited, Annette Arjoon-Martins stated that her airline is “proud to be part of the Jubilee celebrations” and remains committed to the development of the country’s tourism industry.
“We are extremely proud of our first female Minister of Tourism. Our flagship helicopter will be available during the jubilee celebrations for tours to our local resorts, Kaieteur falls and aerial tours of GuyExPo,” she said.
The launching of the themed aircraft (helicopter) took place this morning at the Air Services Limited, Ogle head office.
Meanwhile, Tourism Minister Catherine Hughes was one of the first persons onboard to have an inaugural tour of Georgetown in this newly designed helicopter.
She posited that Guyana’s local airline industry has achieved much for the country over the past years and appears fixated on excelling in its services and goals in the future.
