The Alliance for Change (AFC) has expressed concerns over the number of students who did not acquire passes between grades one to three at CSEC.
This they reminded accounts for 40% of candidates. AFC member Trevor Williams says the Party wants to know if any plan is being put in place to help these students to secure passes in at least the two core subjects, Mathematics and English language.
Williams also reminded of the Party’s call for a comprehensive review of the education system.
Another Member of the AFC, Beverly Alert says it is time for the technical people in education to sit down and determine what needs to be done to progress education in Guyana.
The AFC also extended congratulations to all the top achievers especially those who have set new records for Guyana.
