A 67-year-old man who had been discovered lying along the roadway in the Adventure village, Essequibo, with injuries to his head is now dead.
Reports are that Claude Arthur, was found under a shed along the roadway at Adventure, and was rushed to the Suddie Hospital for emergency medical treatment.
However, despite efforts by the medical staff to save his life they were unable to due to the severity of the injuries to his head. He succumbed at the Suddie Hospital shortly after being transported there from under the shed where he was discovered.
The police have since launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the elderly man’s death.
