The funeral of the late Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. Balram Persaud was held today. President David Granger and Public Security Minister Khemraj Ramjattan were among those paying their last respects to the Number Two officer in the Guyana Police Force. Persaud’s body was cremated at the Ruimzeight foreshore, West Coast Demerara. The Assistant Commissioner of Police died on Tuesday last, weeks after being involved in a vehicular accident.
