[www.inewsguyana.com] – One person is said to be seriously injured in an accident that occurred this afternoon (January 02) at Middle and Carmichael Streets, Georgetown.
The injured man was only identified as ‘Devon’ and was traveling in the black motor car at the time of the accident.
The driver of this car, Paul Persaud said he was driving down Middle Street when the silver grey Allion – PRR 1998 jumped the intersection.
However, driver of the Allion, Michael Anthony told the media that the road was clear at the time he crossed the intersection and was almost to the other end, when the vehicle crashed into him, causing his car to turn turtle.
He and his wife were pinned under the car when public spirited citizens assisted in rescuing them. Anthony accused Persaud of speeding. [Fareeza Haniff]
Michael Anthony, you are guilty as claimed by Persaud, of jumping the intersection. If as you claimed , you had already crossed then the impact would have been almost around the rear arch of yr vehicle. The evidence is glaring from the damage to your vehicle.
