[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Post- Mortem examination (PME) performed on the body of 9 year-old Shaquan Gittens has revealed that the lad died as a result of compression injury to his neck and asphyxiation due to drowning.
The PME was conducted on Wednesday April 08 by Government Pathologist Dr. Nehual Singh.
The North Ruimveldt, Georgetown child who went missing on April 01 was found in a trench aback Houston, East Bank Demerara on April 04 by passersby.
Gittens’ body was found face down in the trench with his pants missing and his T – Shirt rolled up to his chest.
A man is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
