A 65-year-old fully vaccinated woman from Region One (Barima-Waini), who was infected with the novel coronavirus, has died.
This takes the country’s death toll to 1051.
There are currently over 600 active cases of the virus, with 604 in home isolation, 33 in institutional isolation and six in the Intensive Care Unit.
The country has detected 87 new cases of the virus, taking the total positives recorded to date to 39,238.
Recoveries stand at 37,544.
