[www.inewsguyana.com] – Leron Griffith, 25, of Lot 809 Festival City, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown was sentenced to 60 months imprisonment today, By Magistrate Judy Latchman for the offence of dangerous driving.
He made his first appearance in Court on August 8, 2013 and pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on May 31 on Mandela Avenue, Georgetown, he drove motorcar HC2408, in a dangerous manner, ultimately causing the death of Chinese national Feng Xue Fang.
Griffith was found guilty, after the trial was conducted before Magistrate Latchman and five witnesses were called on behalf of the Prosecution, which was led by Police Sergeant Vishnu Hunt.
Griffith was represented by Attorney – at – Law, Melville Duke.
