[www.inewsguyana.com] – A boy is now dead after he was struck down by a speeding car along Freeman Street, East La Penitence, Georgetown on Thursday, June 12.
Dead is 6 – year – old Joseph Parris of Freeman Street, who was picked up and rushed to the Georgetown Public hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
According to police, the fatal accident occurred at about 15:00hrs.
Investigations have revealed that the driver of motor car PPP 5931 was allegedly driving along the roadway at a fast rate, when he lost control of the vehicle and struck down the child who was standing on the bridge to his home.
The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
