[www.inewsguyana.com] – Gerald Ward, 30 of Middle Road, La Penitence, charged with possession of narcotics was fined $5,000 by Magistrate Faith McGusty.
The unemployed man pleaded guilty to the offence, which stated that on Saturday, June 7 at Middle Road, La Penitence, Georgetown, he had in his possession three grammes of marijuana.
Police Prosecutor Seon Blackman told the Court that ranks acted on information received and conducted a search at the Ward’s house, where they found two transparent ziplock bags in his bedroom containing leaves seeds and stems suspected to be the illegal substance.
