[www.inewsguyana.com] – Employees of the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GT&T) are working to restore telephone services to some communities along the East Bank Demerara, more particularly the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, after some 480 feet of cables were vandalised.
Speaking with iNews, Engineer, Rawle Peters said the Company was alerted about the disruption in the cable after an alarm at one of its sub-station was triggered. The incident occurred in Agricola, East Bank Demerara.
He told iNews that the presence of the teams in that area disrupted scheduled works of cable removing and replacement along the East Bank Demerara four-lane extension path.
