Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 43-year-old Dennis Persaud of La Belle Alliance, Essequibo Coast, who was killed in a car accident at about 23:30hrs on Saturday night.
The Police, in a statement, said Persaud was driving a motor car along the Reliance Public Road on the Essequibo Coast, “when he lost control of the vehicle which turned turtle into a canal”.
Persaud was taken to the Suddie Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigations are in progress.
