Four men are now being interrogated regarding the alleged larceny of a 55ft boat -belonging to the Guyana Revenue Authority – between half past midnight and 02:15h on Monday from the Marine Wharf.
According to information received, the white and green wooden boat was moored at the wharf and was last seen by GRA security at 00:30h.
However, after it had suddenly gone missing, a search was launched and the vessel was discovered in the vicinity of the Muneshwar Wharf.
The four suspects- who are all said to be from Annandale, East Coast Demerara- were allegedly found in possession of the boat and quickly apprehended.
Investigations are currently ongoing.
