[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 35-year-old woman who was found with 43 grammes of cannabis was remanded by Magistrate Judy Latchman on Monday April 13.
Natasha Jordon was on April 10 found with the illegal substance at Bent Street allegedly for the purpose of trafficking.
The court heard that the defendant was seen by officers, stuffing a black plastic bag in her pants. She was searched and 33 transparent plastic bags were discovered with the marijuana.
Her attorney Dexter Todd informed the magistrate, that his client was denied her rights. He claimed that the police took her into a room and instructed her to change her clothes in the presence of the male officers.
Bail was denied and Jordon will return to court on April 28
