Three friends were in the wee hours of this morning killed after the car in which they were travelling crashed into a parked lorry at La Grange, West Bank Demerara. A fourth occupant of the car is said to be in a critical state.
The dead men have been identified as thirty-three-year-old Leroy Levans Junior, of Nismes, WBD; Devindra Hardyal, 25, and Reshi Pasha, 20, both of La Grange, WBD.
22-year-old David Bourne of Good Fortuin, WBD was admitted a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) after being treated at West Demerara Regional Hospital.
The driver of the car, Levans and Hardyal were pronounced dead on the spot while Pasha took his last breath at about 7:00h.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the four men were seen partying at Stanleytown, WBD prior to the accident. However, Levans left the party to drop off Bourne and while on their way the motor car collided with the parked lorry.
This publication understands that Sunday’s accident was not the first such incident with a parked vehicle in the the village of La Grange. Levans was a father of one and was preparing to go on vacation to the United States.
