Ranks of the Guyana Police Force on Wednesday about 18:30hrs conducted a search of a house at Durban Street,Lodge and found two unlicenced firearms and nine live rounds of ammunition (a .32 pistol with 3 rounds and a sub-machine gun with 6 rounds).
According to the police in a report, three female occupants of the house have been taken into custody and are assisting with the investigation which was dubbed an intelligence-led operation.
