[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – eight – year old Leroy Seaford was today remanded to prison by Magistrate Ann McLennan on simple larceny and break and enter charges.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to both charges, one of which alleged that on November 24 at Kwakwani, Upper Berbice River, he stole cash $100,000 from Kevin Layne.
Particulars of the other charge stated that on November 19 at Kwakwani Airstrip, broke and entered Kwakwani Natural Resource organization and stole one Toshiba Laptop value $80,000.
Police Prosecutor Adonni Innis objected to bail on the grounds of the nature, gravity and prevalence of the offence. She noted that the laptop was recovered at Seaford’s home.
The accused was unrepresented and is scheduled to reappear at the Kwakwani Magistrate’s Court for December 19.
