[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – five- year old Reginald Williams made his first court appearance at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on October 27, charged with robbery under arms.
It is alleged that on October 12, 2015, while being armed with a gun, he robbed Mariah De Rosano of 70 grams of raw gold, valued $350,000 and $350,000 Venezuelan bolívar.
Williams pleaded not guilty to the offense. The Prosecution objected to bail due to the gravity and nature of the offense, the penalty attached and the fact that a gun was used during the course of the robbery.
Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan remanded Williams to prison and he will make his next court appearance on December 15 at the Kamarang Magistrate’s Court.
