[www.inewsguyana.com] – Chinese National Sumhao Huang of Norton Street, Georgetown, charged with dangerous driving was placed on $40,000 bail by Magistrate Faith McGusty on Wednesday, March 19.
With the assistance of an interpreter from the Chinese Association, the 22 – year – old defendant pleaded not guilty to the offence which alleged that on March 11 at Crown and Irving Street, Georgetown, he drove motor car PPP 7082 in a manner dangerous to the public.
Attorney-at-law, Adrian Thompson represented the defendant and requested bail in a reasonable sum. He further told the Court that on the day in question, his client was hit by a minibus and he ended up hitting someone else. Counsel said Huang works with his parents who operate Hilton Chinese Restaurant.
Bail was granted and Huang will reappear in Court on April 8.
