A South Ruimveldt man appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman for attempting to commit a felony. Twenty – year -old Mark Wilson pleaded not guilty to the charge which read that between September 02 and 03 in Georgetown he attempted to break and enter the home of Dwayne Duff. Attorney -at-law Paul Fung-A-Fat represented the accused on Friday and while making an application for reasonable bail told the court that his client was going home from work when he was arrested by police ranks, who claimed that they were looking for two boys.
However, the prosecution’s case is that Wilson was caught in the complainant’s yard. The prosecutor further objected to bail noting that it is a serious offence.
In the interim the Magistrate refused bail and the matter was adjourned until September 17 where Wilson is expected to make his next court appearance. [Royan Abrams]
