[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 20 – year – old unemployed woman of Lot 36 Sussex Street, Georgetown who was caught with cocaine in her private parts was refused bail at the Georgetown Magistrates Court on Monday, September 07, 2015.
Oshanda Nicasie Nicholas pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on September 04 at Ogle International Airport, East Coast Demerara, she had in her possession 460 grammes of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Representing Nicholas was Attorney-at-law, Dexter Todd, who requested an early date for trial after stating that his client does not have any prior or pending matter.
However, Police Prosecutor Bharat Mangru requested that the matter be adjourned until September 18 since the file is incomplete. iNews understands that at the time of the arrest, the young woman was about to board a flight to Barbados.
According to reports, she strapped some of the cocaine to her body and inserted the remainder in her vagina.
