Just mere minutes after committing a robbery, two suspected bandits were nabbed by ranks attached to the Brickdam Police Station on Saturday evening.
INews understands that the two men – Navin Alli and Anthony Andricks – were among eight persons who carried out the daring robbery on three persons.
The incident reportedly occurred around 22:15h when the victims – two males and a lone female— were headed home from the Bank DIH Roof Garden, Brickdam.
This online publication understands that the eight unmasked bandits trailed the three persons and were able to surround them.
The perpetrators reportedly demanded that the trio all lie on the ground and proceeded to rob them.
However, they were only able to escape with a cell phone and $1100 in cash before a Police Patrol which was in the vicinity was alerted.
The ranks swiftly swooped down on the scene as the robbery was in progress and the eight bandits all attempted to flee.
However, Alli and Andricks could not evade Police and were caught after a 15-minute chase.
They are currently in Police custody assisting with the capture of the other six men. They will be charged shortly.
