[www.inewsguyana.com] – Tyson Garnett of Covent Garden, East Bank Demerara, was today fined $75,000 with a default of three months imprisonment on a simple larceny charge.
Before Magistrate Fabayo Azore, the 19-year-old fisherman pleaded guilty to the charge which stated that on July 20 at Covent Garden, he stole $60,000 in cash from Desiree Boston.
The unrepresented man told the Court that he went into the shop where he saw the money and took it. The Court was informed by the defendant that he has a pending matter in another Court involving a fight with his mother.
