[www.inewsguyana.com] – 18 – year – old John Hetsberger of Duke Street, Kingston, Georgetown, having been charged with the murder of a Plaisance Pensioner, was today remanded to prison when he appeared in the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court.
He appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore, charged with the murder committed on Jennifer Ann Mendonca on August 8 at her Plaisance, East Coast Demerara home.
Hetsberger was remanded to prison until September 13.
Meanwhile, the result from the Post Mortem examination performed on the woman’s body yesterday gave her cause of death as asphyxia due to strangulation and blunt trauma to the head.
The 57 – year – old woman was found dead in her bed, hands and feet bound, her mouth duct taped and a pillow covering her face on August 01.
The police on the East Coast of Demerara were able to apprehend Hetsberger days after the incident.
iNews was reliably informed that the man allegedly confessed to killing the woman and making off with several items from her home.
