Eighteen – year – old Andrew Glasgow of West Ruimveldt Georgetown made his first court appearance before Magistrate Judy Latchman charged with threatening language.
Glasgow pleaded guilty with an explanation. However, after listening to his explanation, the Magistrate entered a not guilty plea.
It is alleged that on August 31 at West Ruimveldt Georgetown, he made use of threatening language against Akeem Anthony. In his explanation, the accused told the court that the complainant owed him money.
Glasgow said he told the complainant that if he does not repay him; he will make a report to the police station about a stolen item that the complainant had at the time.
Meanwhile, police prosecutor Bharrat Mangru disclosed to the court that Glasgow had threatened to kill the complainant. The Magistrate placed the accused on $10,000 bail for the offence with his next court appearance set for September 17. [Royan Abrams]
